3CX Installation & Migration Services
Houston TechSys handles every step of your 3CX deployment — from server provisioning and number porting to staff training and go-live support. Zero downtime. Zero guesswork.
Most Phone System Installations Go Wrong
Many Houston businesses attempt to deploy 3CX using a reseller who mails a license key and provides a PDF guide. The result is a system that technically works — until it doesn't. Codec mismatches drop calls. SIP trunks fail during outbound transfers. Remote workers can't connect. The IVR never gets configured properly.
Worse, number porting gets delayed by weeks because the carrier paperwork was incomplete. Your staff starts the week of the cutover with no phones and no clear answer on when service will be restored.
These are not edge cases. They are the predictable result of treating a business phone system like a software download. 3CX is a powerful platform — and like any powerful platform, it requires an experienced hand to deploy correctly.

Our Approach: Structured, Tested, Guaranteed
Houston TechSys follows a disciplined eight-phase deployment process developed across hundreds of 3CX installations throughout the Houston metro. Every installation is scoped before it starts, tested before cutover, and documented before we leave.
Discovery
We audit your current system, call flow requirements, internet connection, and number inventory before writing a single line of configuration.
Provisioning
We deploy 3CX on your preferred platform — hosted cloud, Azure, or on-premises — and lock down the server before it ever goes live.
Configuration
Extensions, ring groups, IVR menus, voicemail, call recording, and CRM integration are configured to match your actual workflows.
Cutover
We execute the number port and cutover during a low-traffic window with your team on standby. Post-go-live support is included for 30 days.
What Is Included in Every Installation
Server Deployment & Hardening
3CX installed on your chosen platform. Firewall rules configured. Fail2ban and intrusion prevention enabled. SSL certificate issued and applied.
SIP Trunk Configuration
Your SIP trunk tested for inbound, outbound, and transfer reliability. Codec priority set for your network. Failover trunk configured if required.
Extension & Device Provisioning
Every IP phone on your network auto-provisioned through 3CX. Remote softphones configured for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
IVR & Call Flow Design
Auto-attendant menus, ring groups, time-based routing, and holiday schedules built to your specifications and tested before go-live.
Number Porting
We prepare the LOA and submit porting paperwork to your new SIP provider. We track the port and coordinate the cutover date with your team.
Staff Training
Half-day onsite or remote training session for staff and a separate admin training for your IT team or office manager. Recorded for future reference.
Documentation Package
Full system diagram, extension list, IVR tree documentation, and admin credentials stored in your preferred password manager.
30-Day Post-Cutover Support
Direct access to your assigned engineer for the first 30 days. Issues resolved without opening a ticket — just call or text.
Migrating from Another System

Houston TechSys handles migrations from every major business phone platform, including RingCentral, 8x8, Vonage, Mitel, Avaya, and legacy on-premise PBX systems. We've performed dozens of migrations for Houston-area businesses ranging from 5-seat medical offices to 150-seat call centers.
Every migration begins with a full audit of your current system. We document every number, extension, ring group, and IVR menu — then rebuild the equivalent configuration in 3CX before your cutover date arrives. You won't be asked to guess what you need. We figure it out from what you have.
Migrations from existing 3CX installations are straightforward — we handle license transfers, version upgrades, and platform changes (for example, moving from a local server to hosted cloud) with no disruption to existing extensions or phone numbers.
Why Houston Businesses Choose Houston TechSys
Certified 3CX Partner
Our engineers hold active 3CX certifications and complete continuing education with every major platform release. You get someone who knows the platform, not someone reading the same documentation you could find online.
Local Team, Real Presence
We are based in Cypress, TX. When you need someone onsite, we can be there the same day. No dispatching a contractor from a national firm who has never seen your office.
Fixed-Price Installations
Every installation is quoted at a fixed price after our discovery call. You know the cost before we start. There are no hourly surprises because we underestimated scope.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a 3CX installation take?
A standard installation for a 10–50 seat business takes two to five business days from kickoff to go-live, depending on number porting timelines. Number porting typically takes 7–10 business days with most carriers.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. We handle the entire number porting process, including preparing the LOA, submitting to the carrier, and coordinating the cutover. In most cases there is no gap in service.
Do we need new IP phones?
Not necessarily. We can evaluate your existing hardware and determine what is compatible with 3CX. If new phones are needed, we supply and pre-configure Yealink, Fanvil, or Snom hardware as part of the project.
What internet speed do we need?
Each active call uses approximately 100 Kbps of bandwidth. A 10-seat office with concurrent calls needs 2–5 Mbps of stable upload. We assess your connection during discovery and make recommendations if an upgrade is needed.
Do you offer post-installation support?
Yes. Every installation includes 30 days of direct post-go-live support. After that, we offer ongoing managed support plans that cover updates, monitoring, and unlimited moves/adds/changes.
